In the school

Trying to figure out exactly why a schoolmaster caning a small child is supposed to make me want this supposed panacea of saline. I guess the kid forgot to drink his weird salty drink, but isn’t that somewhat at odds with the ad’s claim (one of very many) that “children are fond of it?”
